Route Interpretation

Kayaks

Natural and cultural interpretation is an important aspect of traveling on the water. Each of our carefully chosen routes is rich with cultural history of Native Peoples. The coastlines we paddle are ancient and home to many incredible plant and wildlife species from the wild trilliums, loons and lynx of the Boreal forest on the Canadian Shield to the towering cedars, dense ferns and wild orchids of the Pacific Northwest. Highlights from past trips have included sighting caves, waterfalls, moose, nesting peregrine falcons, volcanic rock islands, orange lichens, terraced beaches, star gazing, catching whitefish and eating blueberries by the handful.
