Summer canoe tripping camp for boys ages 10 to 17
FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS Langskib has trained boys and young men of all experience levels in the skills of adventure-based outdoor living. In fact, most first time campers have had no previous canoe tripping experience! Our summer camps keep the emphasis on learning from the land and each other in spirit of harmony, balance and trust.
We believe that our canoe trips are an excellent metaphor for life's journey and represent an important rite of passage into adulthood. We teach and model confidence, self-awareness, compassion, cooperation, commitment and common sense. We find that young men choose Langskib because it represents challenge, “down to earth” living and freedom from regimentation.
